both cars are around 160k (miles - 250k km). The one with oil through the turbo bypass pipe up to the TB and leaking from the intercooler hose also has significant blow by (inflates a glove) whereas the bone dry one does not. The bone dry one got a new turbo bypass valve about 3 years ago (threw codes). I'm pretty sure it is fine.
Both had slow radiator leaks - our indy had previously done a pressure test and found a leak in the rad of one (it was a fairly new radiator), put in some stop leak which worked for a while, but it was leaking faster and I wanted a permanent fix. The other car was on the original rad, just leaking a touch, but had other issues (leaking bypass valve) and I wanted it all made right before something stranded my wife.
I will look into the check valves. That white oil check valve hose above the valve cover could stand to be replaced in both cars. I epoxied the one in the car with no oil leaks, but now I've got a couple of the parts... just need to figure out how to disconnect that damn connector in under behind the TB! When I looked into it last week, it did not release easily and I didn't really have time to mess around... these are daily drivers for a busy family.
