My copy of WIS is on a non-networked PC - so it is hard for me to 'copy/paste' out of it. I have attached screen shots as a PDF. But my reading of the WIS info on Main Beam operation is that DICE and TWICE are involved - and while it COULD be your headlight switch, it might be more complicated. I would be sure the 'new' switch is really good, then I would un-plug and re-plug the connectors to the dash headlight switch and the column stalk switch.
Sorry I cannot offer more guidance.
