Hi all, replacing the thermostat (REAL PITA) on my 6cyl wgn and after removing upper intake....middle intake....lower intake...jeesh...I can't get the therm housing out because of this (see pic) stupid bolt. WIS makes no mention of this,wondering if PO or mechanic put in wrong bolt somewhere.
Could this be holding the timing belt cover backing plate? Seems my choices are 1) remove the Head....or...get down into it like I was replacing the timing belt and replace or at least back-out this stupid bolt. I've tried every yoga position I could get that housing into and no luck. Any Thoughts?
