A bad CV (Constant Velocity) joint will make that kind of noise when it is wearing out. Check for a torn rubber boot on the side that is clicking. Easiest to replace the whole axle. I have done just the CV joint and not the whole axle, but not on any car I currently own. It has been long time for me since it is cheaper and a lot cleaner to just swap in a new axle.
