I ordered the Skar and found it is 1/4" to big to fit and the screw holes don't line up. I returned it and used the refoam kit I had already ordered. Wasn't to hard to do and I will put it back in the car today.
I used mineral spirits to get all of the glue off of the cone with q tips and a rag. I did put newspaper under the cone to raise it a little for gluing the surround to it. I found that a CD just sits on the surround perfectly to hold it down on the cone while the glue sets. I put the glue bottle on top of the CD for a little extra weight.
I took the top grill off and snipped around speaker on the inner grill. I used a combination of leveraged wire cutters and tin snips to cut the hole.
