I can replace this plug in 30 seconds from outside:
1. Hammer in and punch a hole in it with a sharp wood screw and drive in the screw a few more turns (the metal in the plug is very this and soft).
2. Pull on the screw and remove the old plug.
3. Hammer in a new plug.
I have replaced this plug at least 3 times already on my 2000 Saab 9-5 with 313k.
