Pro Parts Front Subframe bushing installation.

I jacked the vehicle way high and supported with jackstands. I couldn't use a saws-all as mine was too long to fit under the car. Tried a jigsaw and the only blade I had broke. Ended up using the holesaw to cut the sleeves out. And yes, I gouged into the subframe on one side. I don't think enough to hurt anything and certainly no issue of one were to install OEM. On the passenger side. I used a slide-hammer to pull out the sleeve. It took a while but worked good.
So here's my issue now. Trying to do the center bushings and can't seem to get the subframe to drop enough to get the bushing in. Any experience here on how to get the subframe to drop low enough to get the bushing in? I wondered if there is anything in the engine bay that needs to be disconnected? My neighbor said I should just put the bushing in from the bottom upside-down and all it good. Ya, he's not a mechanic but like to advise.
Now after attempting this job, I would have done OEM or the $200 Poly bushings. I went cheap as I didn't know if I'd be able to do the job at all with my failing back and the Dealer won't install aftermarket parts.
