Steel yourself for a very low ACV, or value assignment.
Sounds to me like Goldwing (in NY State) is your best bet. Everything sheetmetal that English Swedish (North Georgia) had had been sold away.
I think we're at the point where we, the loyal owners, need to start grabbing all the really sound parts cars we happen to run across. I'm still driving all four 9-5s I have, but one day, some of them will be my best sources of parts.
I think the reason that independents would prefer these go away is, they want the liberty to charge "whatever" when a car shows up. But if their bill would exceed the ACV of the first series 9-5 by a multiple of two, are they gonna feel sheepish charging full price? Of course they are. But they're businessmen, not Good Samaritans. That's why each of us must prepare to do it all, ourselves.
If any of ya'll do have comprehensive or collision, make sure there's ZERO deductible. That first $ 250 or $ 500 must be recovered or IMO there's no point in having these coverages at all.
