I've refreshed the suspension on my wagon (bilstein sport), aligned it (myself!) and just got new tires. I decided to go with slightly wider tires because I like the wider look: General G-MAX AS-05 245/45-17's (made in the USA!) on the twin-five spoke rims (7.5" width)
When I go into the Tech 2 menu I do not see an option for this tire size. Am I missing something?
The speedometer is reading a few MPH too high and gas mileage is reported a few MPG low which is not a big deal but I expected to be able to enter any reasonable sire size in the tech 2.
Side note: Im very happy with the look and ride of these larger tires(they are both wider and taller). I will go with the same size on my '01 Aero that has 8" BBS rims. I would not go with this size on a rim smaller than 7.5" (like the 17" klingon Rims which are 7" I believe)
I'm a General Fan! I have the Altimax Arctic snowtires and the previous summer tires on this car were the G-MAX AS-03 (directional and have a more aggressive tread). I had good life from the 03 but the 05 has a significantly longer treadwear rating so expect even better tire life.
