Thanks to all , here's some details I found out . There are four parts in my car's current issue with low voltage and the ABS lights on the dash , intermittently . The positive battery cable is fine , just installed 20 months ago when the battery was also replaced . The alternator is very fresh ...Bosch rebuilt unit replaced 6 months ago { 13,000 miles } It does produce 14.1 volts most of the time , but the battery has only 12.1 volts pre start , then drops down to 11.9 , then the alternator has the chore of recharging the low battery . Cold weather punks batteries .
The battery now has 37,000 miles over 20 months . I purchased it in 2018 , and I did notice a paper sticker on the side with the date 10 2017 . Today when I checked for other stickers I found a 37-14 , which clearly dates the manufacture date 3 years before I bought it ! Made in Germany .
Not bad for a 5 year old battery . I will replace it and check the lug terminals and grounds .
The ABS module is dependent on 12 volts , and I can swap in another if needed .
Thanks !
