fuel filler hose - blockage? Posted by mlc [Email] (#1747) [Profile/Gallery] (more from mlc) on Wed, 18 Mar 2020 08:10:10 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
takes forever to fill up my tank at station.... I believe I a small plastic cap dropped (snapped off) into the filler neck when I was adding some fuel treatment via a funnel and extension tube...
In any case... I was going to try to remove the filler hose leading into the tank.. thinking the cap is probably lodge near where the hose connects into the tank... Are there any tips/tricks to removing that hose? It appears to be a conventional clamp, but it looked like it was difficult to access. Any trick to accessing it.. can I simply get at it from under the car without removing anything... or perhaps via the driver side wheel?
Also, is the hose itself a clear run to the tank.. or is there any type of valve/flap inside the hose.. that comes into play . ..which could cause it to get caught up closer to the filler neck?
appreciate any suggestions...
Mike...
