Heater bypass removal-kept solenoid ? Posted by bstan9k [Email] (#215) [Profile/Gallery] (more from bstan9k) on Mon, 14 Sep 2020 10:20:31 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Now that I have everything back together with the Mackay bypass hoses on my 2004 Aero, my plan was to put hose plugs on both nipples of the heater bypass solenoid.
I also eliminated the T vacuum hose connection with check valve to the Heater bypass solenoid and substituted a straight silicon vacuum hose from the top port of the 2 port fitting on the intake manifold to the solenoid under the firewall wiring harness.
Took the car out for a test run, seems to run just fine without any dash warning lights. Now I just need to hook up an OBD reader and see if anything else shows up.
