At least it was for us picking up our '01 estate. Once the car arrived (it took about 7 weeks from when we ordered), the dealer had all paperwork ready, lease approved, and even Onstar set up for us when we picked the car up. We live about 45 minutes from the dealer so it was nice to make the trip just once. We decided to trade our present car in at the last minute, which made them redo all the lease paperwork, but it was still no problem.
Nobody tried to sell us "undercoating", pinstripes, or extended warranties like I've had happen at Chevy and Honda dealers (one dealer told us it was required for them to present the sales pitch), the car had a full tank of gas, and all controls and programming options were explained. Now, this dealer only sells about 18 cars a month, so we were probably the only ones picking a car up that day, which may have contributed to the kid glove treatment. Still, it's the first time we've left a car dealer relaxed and with smiles on our faces.
