I just had this problem after the car had not been started for two months. Concurrently, water began to leak into the passenger rear seat well complicating the diagnosis (did moisture affect the TWICE?). After much reading and making a great effort to hear the fuel pump run, it turned out that the fuel pump was not running when the key was turned on. After four taps on the housing under the rear seat with the end of a wrench, the fuel pump ran and the car started.
[Looks like the leak is at the right rear of the rear window and needs to be sealed.]
