03 9-5 Arc wagon gas gap realted engine warning light
Posted by Jerry Z (more from Jerry Z) on Sun, 21 Feb 2021 11:03:08
I just purchased a 03 9-5 arc wagon and to my understanding, 9-5s produced in 03 and 04 have the common problem of gas cap malfunction which causes engine warning light to be on. There is no SID message displayed on my dash so I think it has to be the gas gap. As I educate myself about the solutions, a new, original Saab gas cap is put in, the fuel is topped to 100% full and it has since been over 10 start cycles and a week. The light is still there. Any suggestions? Shall I wait a couple of more cycles, or do I directly go to a mechanic? I got a state inspection appointment in a week...
Thanks for your advice!
