2006 9-5 2.3 -- weird groaning/hoot-owl sound at certain boost levels, and acc. pedal. I first thought the mice and chipmunks had filled my air cleaner housing with A-corns (that's the 1st thing I looked for when I heard the groan!). And this was months ago. Then, this week the CEL came on. And this revealed a P1110 code. I was able to trace that small hose that controls the turbo bypass valve, along its mounting points, and mine had chafed thru where it rubbed up against the relay cluster, en-route to the fire wall. A touch of black tape as I headed out to go skiing in 70 degree day today here in Mass. No more noise, and the car just ran better. And the CEL is out. I bought some 4mm ID hose on the way back from skiing. I'll install it tomorrow.
