You might have an intermittent connection in one of the connectors in the wiring harness. Or a bad ground connection of the clutch coil
I just watched a video by "DiagnoseDan" on Youtube where he troubleshot a problem on a car (it was not a Saab) with AC issues. It turned out it had a bad pin connection in a wiring harness junction plug that affected the lead that powered the solenoid in the variable displacement AC compressor. He went into complete detail about how the system worked and showed how he traced the circuit AND how he fixed it.
It would be worth viewing it and running checks on the wiring to include ground quality. The process is straightforward.
Good luck.
