The ACC on my '99 base has been flaky for a few weeks. Today I had time to investigate. I ran the diags (AUTO+OFF) and got an 08 and 11 and intermittently a 13.
I started with the passenger side and found the original green gears and stop arm. the stop arm was cracked. I replaced it and ran diags. The 11, and intermittent 13, disappeared leaving me with an 08.
On to the drivers side. It's quite a bit tighter on the drivers side so I was not too happy about that 08. I pulled the blend door motor and found a cracked green stop arm there too! replaced it, ran diags again and BINGO all good.
I was surprised to find, what I thought were, the "original" green stop arm. I guess I can't complain that the arm lasted 22 years. (although my back disagrees and insists on complaining after the contortions I put it went through to fix this!)
These damned things, both were cracked in the same place.
