Instrument Panel Swap Question Posted by desmosaab [Email] (#3078) [Profile/Gallery] (more from desmosaab) on Sat, 28 May 2022 12:04:19 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I'm looking at buying a 2006 Saab 9-5. I found one I like but it has a flaky instrument cluster- it goes out periodically and needs to be tapped a few times to come back. I went through all the old threads but something wasn't clear to me in reading them: if I get one off of eBay to replace it that hasn't been "divorced" from the old Saab can I still use it? I found a service center near me (Minnesota) that says they have Tech 2 or I could buy one so the "marriage" process should be ok.
I should mention that the car has a ton of miles already (about 145k) so I'm not too worried about keeping the mileage if that's an issue. I just want to make sure it will work.
