I had posted previously of my 2008 Aero Tire Pressure Monitoring System starting to fail and not being able to get a specific fault code with my Tech 2 clone device. I went on faith and purchased 4 new pre-programmed Schrader brand sensors from that Rock vendor. Schrader is OEM. Maybe spent about $120 a year ago. Got around to striking a deal with my favorite tire shop for all 4 wheel install for $100. Got the 3rd degree questioning from the owner/manager if I was sure of the Schrader 20159 part number. Tried to re-verify on the Schrader website by my vehicle model, but it only listed a 9-7X model for year 2008. Luckily a call to their tech support in US headquarters got me a confirmation I had bought correctly. Less than 30 minutes later I was back on the road but with all kinds of shifting warnings of this or that tire being underinflated. Understood it would take a few miles to get sorted out, but surprised it was nearly 50 miles before all settled down and all warnings ceased. SO, no substitute for DIY tire pressure checking or adjusting for precision, but looking forward to another 15 years without dashboard warnings!
