A friend’s 9-3 has a data connector that requires some wiggling to get the Tech 2 to power on and then it can lose the connection with the slightest movement of the plug. The plastic jack housing is available new for a few bucks so I figured on moving the wires to a new housing if things get any worse. I think it may be just a result of many uses of the jack and possibly carelessly jamming a plug into the connector. As someone else suggested, check the wires going into the connector and possibly try some electrical contact cleaner. The plastic housing may also be available for the 9-5 and there are tools available in sets to release the connectors from the housing. If you try that just do one wire at a time so you keep them in the proper place in the housing.
