I think the Xenons.. are a reason used 9-5s hit the market.. from a dealer 175 per bulb plus install.. make it a ~500 job to replace lightbulbs at the dealer. .. plus a DI cassette and plugs at ~500 at some shops.. .. the 9-5 became a ridiculously expensive car.. to those don't want maintenance. Pricing on those OE bulbs is all over the place..
Also it is hard to know when the Xenons bulbs are in decline.. is DLR . it seems to me it is in the 50,000 mile range / in a mixed use city / highway car.. I am just basing this off of me.
I have bi-xenons from mirimoto in my other car. the 9-5 used to be equal to the mirimotos... today I put the cars side b side. with xenons at the 50,000 mark .. and the mirimotos seem to be much better. (last time I did this was 2017)
That is not scientefic but otherwise I don't think you would notice bulbs in decline... any thoughts?.. intesting discussion.
