This might help in understanding the sunroof assembly and to identify if something is broken or just loose. looking at your video and the diagram in the link it's not entirely clear to me ...

FWIW I have found it's more common that the rear retainer clips break, here is a video that shows its replacement https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qcxlQktYJGE&t=470s&ab_channel=WeakestofWeeks

BTW I just checked two of my 9-5s, and on both, both front hinges slide up and down (just as the left one on your video does).

It seems to me that what appears to be "loose" is actually the way it functions. Observing it as I open and close the roof, it appears that the deflector folds down first, then lowers as the glass closes. I wonder if your rattle is not that the left side is loose ... but rather that the right side is stuck? I suspect that not lowering, and is being held against the glass and rattling at it jiggles against the glass.

perhaps some wd 40 and gently work it loose?

and do check those rear retainer clips, they broke on every 9-5 I've owned.
