I lost all but 3rd and/or 4th gear while when shifting from 1st to 2nd the other day. The shifter is completely loose between 1st and 2nd and will not engage the gears. The car moves forward when the shifter is in the reverse position. I think it is stuck in either 3rd or 4th gear, not sure about 5th as I did not try.
I ordered new gear linkage bushings, but I'm not sure that's the issue. What else could it be?
I flushed the brake and clutch fluid the day before; not sure if that's a factor.
