Not much to the shield and it's only held by the same screw as the CPS. I think I found a replacement shield available at several places. I only work it from the bottom. Same as a lot of other work, you sometimes just reach and do it by feel. Don't need much leverage; it's just difficult to get a bite on the screw, but that's why I'd destroy the tab and extract the CPS body first.
