Hello,
Very strange. Could be a clutch master glitch or sign of failure. Sometimes the rubber cup in the master will flip and you loose the pedal. But a couple pushes and it will flip back. Sometimes they fail soon after that sometimes they last for years.
Another option would be that for some reason the clutch fluid boiled allowing air in the fluid and when it cooled back down completely it was fine. That used to be a common problem on 900's with a sticky caliper or parking brake cable. As soon as they cooled down they were fine again. Good Luck, Bernie
