Sure sounds like a discharged battery. The positive (red) battery cable on the 9-5 can corrode inside the insulation and not deliver sufficient charging power to the battery. So even a new battery can become discharged quickly. If you don’t have the means to test the battery voltage and the charging voltage, try taking it to an auto parts store and have them check the battery and charging system, providing you can get it running. You have to be sure you have a well-charged battery before thinking about other things.
