The rubber piece goes into the metal window channel on the outer end of the door. Once you look at that channel, it is somewhat obvious how that rubber piece fits in to hold the window in place when it is lowered. So you want to clean the channel and then use some type of adhesive to hold the rubber in place so it doesn’t drop out again. I used contact cement, which seemed to work, but there are other adhesives that should also work as long as they will adhere to both metal and rubber.
