I've never had an issue with that piece breaking (or any of the other plastic trim) in the many times I've changed window rollers in our Saabs. The eeuroparts video is good to watch if you haven't seen it already to see exactly where and how to make those parts unclick. The plastic is brittle, but strong enough to stay intact when removed carefully in the correct manner. In their video, they note that they (accidentally) removed the trim piece you need from the card and had to reinstall it. So probably not hard to scavenge from a junk yard car. Also, a good time to inspect and or replace the green rollers.
