if it only happens when releasing the clutch in 1st gear.. and you need to rev it excessively to keep it going, then it could be a clutch issue.. perhaps with the pressure plate... or perhaps the actual teeth on the gear are damaged, causing it to jump?
Otherwise, I'd focus on the fuel pump .. as it could be dying... But first double check for any vacuum leaks.. especially around the throttle body.. Make sure the TB is secured.. and that the large plastic tube is mounted securely.. though these would usually throw a CEL from what I recall..
there are wires within the TB that are know to lose their sheathing over time, due to excessive heat cycles.. which could cause issues like this as well..
