Rear sunroof drain hose shrinkage

I discovered the left rear sunroof drain hose on my 2000 9-5 wagon had shrunk so it no longer reached the drain fitting in the floor. The hoses come down both sides just behind the rear wheel wells. With the shrinkage, the hose would drain into the back of the car. The hose on the right has shrunk also but it still reaches the drain fitting. I used a strait section of plastic vacuum connector to bridge the gap. I happened to have the back of the car apart for some body work or I never would have discovered this. It would not be that hard to check but involves taking off the plastic panel over the hatch, both c-pillar trims, and then the plastic vented covers under the hatch side windows. Then you can remove the five screws on top of each side to pull the side panels in far enough to check things. Of course I blew out the drain hoses with compressed air while I was at it.
