I did that replacement on one 9-5 and it’s relatively easy. Make absolutely sure you disconnect the battery before starting the job as the seat belt assembly contains an explosive device. I did not need to do any resets or get any error codes after the replacement. Make sure you get a seat belt from the right year and make sure it is not frayed as well. There are businesses on the Internet that will replace the belt on your assembly with the proper color if you cannot find a suitable used belt. I washed my replacement belt in a bucket of soapy water after extending it and then rinsed it several times. You might be surprised how dirty these things get especially if they are sitting on the shelf in a used parts place. It can be a little tricky extending and retracting the belt out of the car because it has a mechanism to lock it on rapid deceleration so you might have to play around with it a little. WIS has a good description of the procedure.
