So -

I looked on here for advice on brake pads then went searching for some for my son's 2006 9 5 Aero Wagon. When I found the parts I saw two options - one with perhaps sensors of some kind, as they have a cord with a plug coming out of them, and a more expected option of just pads. Other than taking the wheel off is there a way to tell what I need.

Secondarily - on a subsequent search there seems to be a discussion regarding torque settings for the job that might be set up for broken knuckles. Should I just outsource this job? I was hoping to show 2 of my sons how easy this is, but now wondering if I am opening a can of worms.
