It is still not clear to me exactly which model you have. I am guessing, as Jimmy suggested, it is probably a ng900. If it is, as Mel pointed out, you will get better advice by posting on that bb here on saabnet. There are enough differences between models that it can make a big difference.

Also saabnet has a search feature that is super useful, so if you go to the correct bb and search for eg "door lock broken" you will see often hundreds of past discussions specific to your model, eg:

I have fixed this problem in a c900 (1993 and earlier, up to 1994 vert) much as Anders (Swedecar) suggested in the link above by a combination of pulling up the button from the inside while turning the key on the outside (need a helper obviously). You might get enough combined force on the lock to free it... But as you have said, you could just get in through the door card and get a replacement door card from a junkyard. Just make sure you can get the parts you need first as things are getting more scarce now.
