Hi and thanks for the thoughts.

I read something somewhere on the board where someone had it stuck in the locked position. In my case it was stuck in the open position.

Using the remote and I think pushing the button on the tail gate at the same time I got the issue to resolve. The description I read is that it thought it was both locked and unlocked at the same time.
