2007 SAAB 9-5 Aero Wagon drove into a ditch and crushed the left side of the front bumper and left wheel well. I'd like to try repairing the car myself and can use any advice I can get. I've never worked on this car myself. I see complete front bumper 'kit' on Ebay selling for about $725. I see various other sources for wheel well and parts. Does anyone have any experience sourcing parts from these guys or others. Good? or Bad?
I've had the car for seven years. It's powerful, heavy and a great ride. However, the last couple of years the car has been with the mechanic more often than it's been with me. In fact, the last time I picked up the car after changing a belt, I thanked the mechanic for loaning me the car. (joke) It has new brakes, complete overhaul of AC, new muffler, and shocks. Roland has done the work for me when in the city. I'd like to keep it, if possible. But old parts are wearing out and I live in a rural area where having a reliable car is important. Is this a fool's errand?
