Seat heater compatibility

I’m planning to replace the leather on the driver seat of my 2000 9-5 with some used leather I have that is in great shape. I would also like to replace the bottom foam at the same time as the existing seat is a bit flattened. I have a nice foam bottom but it has no heater attached. I see some heater elements available but there are many part numbers for the 9-5 seat. The 1999-2001 seem to use one part and later models another, with a separate part for ventilated seats, which I do not have. I am not confident about being able to separate the working heater from the old, tired foam but maybe you know how. Does anyone have any experience in this area? Specifically, will any driver seat part number work, so I can get something new made for later models? How about passenger seat heaters with the presence sensor not used? Would the heater connectors be compatible? Any advice would be appreciated.
