That's why SAAB rox, it's the community!
In some other Googling I'd done, the Britax name kept popping up. Not one to follow the herd, I wasn't immediately impressed but I appreciate the candor evident in their website. Tells me they're really interested in informing vs. selling.
Anika will be joining me on my 45 minute commute as my place of business has a great daycare facility. I'm a little concerned about her sitting in the same seat all day. Even tho I know she'll be kept busy throughout the day and won't be left to stare at the walls (and of course they have cribs for naps), I'd like the seat to be a signal that "we're going to work" or "we're going home" (or we're going to hear some of Dad's fun music, and not Mom's boring Carpenters CD's). So I think a snap-in affair isn't a priority.
I'm leaning toward the convertible seats for their $$ efficiency; this is a pricey item and I can't see eBaying it after a year's use if I don't have to. But how will it be on the ride home from the hospital, how is it for a new-born on a three hour road trip tp see the grandparents? I read one comment elsewhere that the parent didn't feel the Roundabout (I think it was) reclined enough so when the baby fell asleep their head flopped over excessively. Comments?
Thanks again for all the input!
C.
