affect on your warranty. Keep receipts. Saab found many were doing so and now the first three years are free. My 97 is still in warranty and I do most of the things required, at home, give the list to my dealer at oil change time(he does it cheaper than I can!) and he stamps my book. since I have given him some technical free advice I believer he trusts me to maintain my own car. We have a good relationship.
I have found the cabin air filter needs to be changed frequently if one drives mostly in traffic. (I changed mine every 6 months in L.A.) If mostly highway driving, probably can add 10,000.
Changing fluids is a VERY important item, if you plan to keep your Saab 'till the wheels come off. Good maintenance is the ticket to get home consistantly without having to take a cab occasionally and cheaper in long run!
