The warranty on a new 9-5 was 48mos or 50,000miles. '01's and '02's came with 3/36 free maintenance, all the scheduled maintenance at 10k, 20k and the major 30k, but not wear items like brakes. The warranty and the maintenance goes with the car not the owner. There is some additional coverage on emmissions related things including turbochargers for up to 70,000 miles.

Used Saabs may be Certified by Saab dealers. Instead of the bumper to bumper factory warranty expiring at 4/50 a Certified Saab has a 6 year 100,000mile factory zero deductible bumper to bumper warranty from when the car was new or an additional two years and 50,000 miles.
