Good wash brushes are a joy to use. I don't know what the Saab brush is like, but over the past twenty years, I have used only three brushes - all boar's hair. The last two were from Griot's Garage. They are exeedingly soft and gentle. If you keep them clean, wet down the car thoroughly, use a high quality soap, wash from the top down, rinsing the brush often, you will be very satisfied. I have never gone through a car wash in 27 years of driving. If I only lived in a city, perhaps I would find the appropriate "gentle" carwash - but I have not had to. I use the detail spray and wipe if I need to "dust" the car while in the city. In addition, the car washes (quite appropriately) recycle and reuse their water which requires the consumer to place enormous faith in the facility's ability to "recondition" their water. I have gotten my act down so that I use no more than five gallons to wash my car - usually less.
Good luck!
