i drive a 2002 linear sedan 5 speed auto w/ the 185 hp and my wife drives a 2001 sportwagon SE w/ the 200 hp v-6 and a 4 speed auto. the v-6 is definately smoother and stronger which you can easily tell the difference at idle or starting from a stop. once driving 35+ mph it is more difficult to tell. the timing belt is replaced free at 60,000 miles by saab and the leaking issue mostly has been resolved on the v-6s. i wish i had a v-6!
