Hi everyone,

Looking to buy a 9-5 (trading in the A4 Quattro). Anyways it is a 1999 9-5 SE v6 and I have been doing research on the car through your bb. I am looking at one tonight and the guy told me that it could use new plugs and a fuel filter. The dealer (non-Saab dealer) said he would take care of those before I buy it but it makes me wonder if the direct ignition may be the problem (remember I have not driven it yet). Car had 54,000 miles so the warranty is expired. The dealer offers a 30 day warranty on all used cars but if the problem gets worse 90 days after the fact then it is my problem. Just wondering potentially how much the direct ignition problem would cost to fix in case if I buy the car and that is the problem.
