The Nokian NRW's are a relatively soft compound - I would not run them in warm weather - they are also a bit noisy. If you are going to keep your car for a few years - you will ultimately purchase a second set of tires. In this case - you're making the purchase on the front end...
In addition, one of the most important parts of a snow tire are the "sharp" edges along the tread block... the more that a soft compound tires is used on warm pavement - the faster those edges wear - thus defeating some of the snow/ice capacity.
The OEM Primacies were quiet - I do agree. I have used SP9000's on my previous BMW, Audi TT quattro and now on the Saab Aero. They feel like an old friend - and I love the wet grip. I ended up selling my stock tire/wheel combo to a new friend on this BB who live in Houston
