I doubt seriously that the 9-5 is seen as a dinosuar. Profitability has a lot to do with it too, since changing sheet metal every year or two would be prohibitively expensive. And in case you haven't noticed, EVERYBODY is giving big incentives. (Ford not quite so big since they did so well last quarter). The idea is to sell the initial car, then build brand loyalty. Brand loyalty is what pays off in the long run anyway. And do we really want to have the GM argument all over again?? Nah.
