Simon, I assume in Vancouver, the Saabs are sold through Saturn/Isuzu like here in Calgary and are typically no haggle pricing?. I have a 2001 LPT and prior to getting it I had my eyes on them since 99. What I have noticed here is that they usually discount about $4k off list at year end and its the same each year. A reaasonable well equipped LPT for around $41k-44K. If you can get one for $36k (not a demo) then take it! There are exceptions, the local dealer here had a 01 Aero wagon in April/May of this year left over and was discounting $10k. Had 300km on it.

I have recently seen a 02 Linear demo here for $36k. Dealers here still trying to get $25-$30k for 99s off lease. Private, late model sales are very rare here. I would think a $30k for an 01 would be a great price.

The problem with waiting in Canada for the heavy year end discounts is selection - not much if you are picky.
