At the very least your runout should be simple, and minimal scraping necessary. My last three cars have been VERY sensitive to warped discs and runout. I don't know the answer if you already have such a runout problem, but I do know the ways to keep supposed warping from happening.

1. Properly torqued lugs and in the right order. The wheel to hub interface cannot be ignored. It is one in the same for the braking capabilities

2. Proper break in of new pads/rotors. Pads need to be gassed out properly, usually by a few hot stops, with some cooling in between.

3. Don't ride your brakes in town, and when it comes time to stop, STOP and don't stay on the brakes. The pads and rotors must come to even temperatures to work correctly. If you stick on the brakes, the heat will be destructive.

4. If you really feel that your rotors are rotten, then get RID of them. Turning rotors on the car is worthless, don't fall for that. Floating brakes are just that, they will float and will do a good job as long as the braking interface is there. Personally, I find dirty front wheels as a 'job well done'.

That's how I see it. I'm still relatively new to the SAAB but I've owned other fast 4-doors.
