I have used mobil 1 synthetic in two prior applications, and with both cars, after a few oil changes, they began to have valve clatter, and smoked on acceleration. I quit using the oil and the problems went away, any ideas what could have caused this? I like the idea of using synthetic, but is seemed to cause problems?
