Yes, in the US you can vary the volume of the horn when locking. I asked a while back on my 99 9-5 and had the volume turned way down. Then when I bought a 2001 wagon, I asked for the same thing and they turned it off completely. All this was done free of charge, at normal servicing and at purchase time.
Do European 9-5's have the deadbolt feature? I had it on my 96 900, but I didn't think the 9-5 has it. I'm talking about locking it with the key, turning 90 degrees and removing.
