not for paint removal but to get rid of the layer of built-up crap that accumulates on your nicely waxed car after a few months.
I happen to think it's magic how well it works, but there is certainly quite a potential for finish damage if you're not really careful and pay close attention to keeping everything very, very lubricated at all times.
Larry Reynolds, the guru of carcareonline.com, is opposed to clay. You can read his reasonings there if you wish. Meguiar's also sells a clay product and you can research that too.
